These terms cover I Know IRL, the daily Irish quiz made by Pingin Apps in Ireland. By playing you agree to them, along with the terms of the App Store or Google Play you got the app from.

The free trial and the unlock

The game is free for 14 days from the day you start the trial. After that, a one-off unlock (€1.99 in Ireland; the store shows the price where you are) lets you keep playing. There is no subscription: you pay once, and nothing is charged if you don't unlock. The App Store or Google Play takes the payment, and refunds go through them under their rules.

The unlock is for your own use, on devices signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account. We will keep a new puzzle coming every day for as long as we run the game; if we ever stop, we will say so in the app first.

Playing fair

Each question has 30 seconds so that everyone plays on their own knowledge. Please don't use tools, bots or changed versions of the app to play, or try to send made-up scores to the county tables. We may leave out scores that look tampered with.

County battles and prizes

At the end of each month, everyone who played for the top three counties gets freeze tokens for their streak: 3 for first, 2 for second and 1 for third. A county needs at least three players to be ranked. Freeze tokens are part of the game only: they have no cash value and can't be swapped or sold. We may change how the battle and its prizes work, and will say so in the app.

The questions

We check every answer against a named source, but mistakes can slip through. If you spot one, tell us and we will fix it. The game is for fun and isn't advice of any kind.

Our responsibility

We make the game with care, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law.

Changes and contact
